How It Works

1

Cold Weather Assessment

We assess ground temperature, frost depth, and site conditions to determine water temperature and pressure requirements.

2

Heated Water System Activation

Our 400,000 BTU heating system brings water to the optimal temperature for your soil conditions — typically 140–180°F.

3

Frozen Ground Penetration

Heated water is applied at high pressure to thaw and break up frozen soil. The process is slower than warm weather but achieves the same precision.

4

Vacuum Removal

Thawed soil and water are simultaneously removed by the vacuum system, maintaining a clean excavation.

5

Backfill & Freeze Protection

Excavation is backfilled with appropriate material. We advise on freeze protection measures for exposed utilities.
